Do you know that feeling when you are exhausted, not just physically but mentally? There’s been so much stress positive and negative that you’re feeling overwhelmed and exhausted at the same time. You don’t know what to do with yourself anymore. You feel like you really need a break. Sounds familiar? Well, physical health is so important. I think we can all agree on that. Though mental health and well-being is equally important. If your mind is fresh and energized so is our body and vis versa. By including some healthy habits into your daily routine, you can prevent mind and body from falling out of balance. And today I’m going to share with you a few of those healthy habits to keep your mind and body fresh and juicy and help you live a healthy lifestyle.
If there’s too much stress and too less time for yourself mind and body get out of balance and that is reflected in us not being able to live at our best. We have to take care of ourselves. Take a break when it’s necessary and do whatever makes us feel good and healthy. And I mean not just working out and eating healthy.
Here are a few things that are crucial for your healthy lifestyle. I recommend everyone to integrate them into their daily routine. Though before I point them out, let me say one more thing:
Being healthy is nothing that comes overnight. You can’t just want to be healthy but not do anything for it. Being healthy is a lifestyle you choose and you have to live it with all you bones. Though despite what you might think now it doesn’t mean you have to give up sweets or have to work out every day. Also, you don’t necessary have to quit smoking or drinking. Even if that would really benefit your health in the long run. Though a lot more important than giving up on those things is finding a balance. A healthy lifestyle is not all or nothing. It’s something in between. It is treating yourself and enjoying life as good as possible while reducing all toxic influences on a minimum.
In addition, healthy does look different to everybody as we are all unique. My healthy is not your healthy. But we can all include some overall habits into our daily routine to make this lifestyle easier and more effective.
And here they are.
Exercise will strengthen your body and make you feel and look fit. It will prevent injuries and other diseases. So, try to include a little bit of exercise every day or two.
While exercising helps your fitness, a healthy nutrition fuels your body and provides it with all nutrition it needs to function proper. Make sure you eat all macro and micro nutrients and reduce sugar, saturated fats, salt and alcohol to a minimum. Also, don’t forget to drink plenty water.
Sleep got into focus of health-related studies more and more the past few years. If you don’t sleep enough you will cause physical stress for your body which then results in a lot of other things that aren’t good. If you want to know more in detail about it, you should watch this video.
Try to go to bed earlier and sleep at least 7 hours to make sure you are well rested.
A healthy social life is important for us to feel connected, loved and valued. Make sure to surround you with people that bring out the best in you and get inspired, energized and excited while spending time with them.
Me-time is very important too. During those hours, you learn to listen to your inner voice and what it tells you. You need those moments to yourself to figure out what you need and want. Just by taking time off you will realize how much you’ve needed it.
Looking good isn’t everything. You also need to feel good. So, treat yourself to a massage. Moisturize or get a haircut. Do whatever makes you feel good not only from the inside but also from the outside.
Say thank you. Those two words can do wonders. When we appreciate what we have we feel more thankful and satisfied with where we are and how our lives turned out to be. Remember all those things you are grateful for and take that positivity and get motivated to work even harder for what you want.
Do you know that feeling, when you want to work or study but first have to clean your room because you can’t concentrate when cloths are laying around and your floor is covered with stuff? Well to be productive and make the most out of your day you need to have clean and tidy surroundings. You need to sort out your life to know what you want and what you have to do to get there. Get rid of all that no longer serves you and make space for what truly brings you value.
That said I’m now providing you a short morning and bed-time routine that will help you implement all the above. I hope you like it and can include some of those habits.
Start with your go to morning routine and include some of the following habits to make it even better.
Healthy breakfast
Leave your phone off until after breakfast
Talk to a friend or family member
Meditate
Drink a glass of water
Plan the Day
Get moving
Read
Repeat a daily mantra
Before going to bed apply some of those habits to end the day healthy and prepare yourself for tomorrow.
Shower and moisturize
Meal Prep
Clean your room
Meditate
Do a breathing exercise
Journal
Stretch
Drink a cup of tea
While the above are just some recommendations based on my own daily routine, I suggest everyone to just visualize their perfect day and outlining the routine they imagine for themselves. How do you want to start into the day? What do you want to do the fist 1h of it? How do you want to end your day? How do you want to spend the last 1h of it?
Answering those questions will help you outline your perfect daily routine that makes you healthy and more blissful.
