Finding my life purpose

Dear, Finding Your Life Purpose,

I love this questions since purpose is one of my core pillars and I believe we all need more of it in life. I think there is both. I believe we as human kind have a collective purpose which is to enjoy ourselves, to make connections, to explore the world and to be present and engaged in whatever the universe brings to us. I believe ultimately, we all have the purpose to be happy and to do what we love. I call this the inner purpose since it is deeply rooted within all of us. I also believe that we are all here to make this world a collectively wonderful place to live in through being kind and compassionate to one another. And in my theory once a person is able to fulfil this inner purpose of joy, connection and kindness they can live a wonderful, happy and fulfilled life. And for some that is enough. All they need is to experience joy in everyday life and they feel they have lived it to the fullest.

However, I also believe there is somewhat of an outer purpose for each human being. I believe that purpose is individual to everyone and some want to step into it others don’t. And whether or not a person wants to step into it much depends on their personality and quest in life. I for my part need both my inner and outer purpose to feel fulfilled and complete. There are some human beings who have this deep need to contribute and to have a bigger impact than just giving back through their own positive energy they transmit through living their inner purpose. They want to aim bigger and leave something special behind. So, they need to discover what their very own outer purpose is. They need to dig deep and unlock the secret around how they can make that larger impact. And since we are all so unique and each one of us has individual core values and ideas of how this world should look like, that purpose is unique to only you.

I always encourage people to reflect on what they would like to see differently in this world and what makes them feel super sad. I have a friend whose outer purpose is to have the oceans as clean as possible and all she does is educate and inspire those around her to engage in environmental friendly activities. My outer purpose for example is to help other people find their purpose and the connection with themselves because I do believe that once we are more connected to ourselves and to our purposes, values and visions of life we can live a pretty extraordinary life. So, what is it that you want to see differently in this world and how can you make that difference?
